In the show, Jeff and Steph venture to places in Maine from the mountains to the sea and the woods in between to discover what’s right here in our own backyard or perhaps within a gas tank away from home. They experience and share these places with you firsthand. For instance find out where you can surf, hike into New England’s highest waterfall or try award winning Maine made cheese. When it comes to getting out in Maine, The Maine Show makes it simple. Just tune in and you’ll discover or rediscover the many ways to enjoy our beautiful state.

Meet Your Hosts
Jeff Riddle: Jeff teaches Earth Science, Outdoor Adventure Physical Education, and Rock Climbing at Windham High School. He advises the Windham Outing Club (WOC) and is the head coach for Windham’s varsity cross country team. Jeff is a registered Maine sea kayaking guide and has worked 10 seasons for Seaspray Kayaking in Brunswick. Jeff sits on the board of directors for Teens to Trails (T3) and helps direct the Maine Kayak Fishing Tournament. He graduated from Penn State University and migrated to Maine to work for The Chewonki Foundation. While at Penn State, Jeff worked for Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and The Conservation Leadership Schools, both affiliated with the University. He worked to educate people with non-releasable wildlife in both Maine and Pennsylvania. He is committed to educating others in both the indoor and outdoor classrooms. In his free time he likes to travel, telemark and alpine ski, play ultimate, compete in triathlons, climb rock or ice, fish, kayak, run, hike mountains, and learn about natural history. He has been lucky enough to spend time in Alaska, Nova Scotia, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands.
Stephanie Koetzle: Stephanie works as a registered Maine recreational and whitewater guide as well as manager of outdoor and tourism related projects for the Ursus Media Group. Stephanie’s skills as a team builder and group facilitator have lead her all around the world, from Africa to Antarctica. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) with a degree in Cultural Anthropology. While at UNL, Stephanie lead whitewater canoeing, rock climbing and hiking trips to destinations throughout the U.S. Her adventures brought her to Maine and her passion quickly developed into showing others the truly unique experience that is Maine. “There are not many places in the world where I can thumb a shuttle ride to the river put-in, paddle down pristine waters, pick blueberries, cast a line, and eat a wicked good whoopie pie all in one day and without getting out of my boat.” In her spare time, she likes to travel, cross-country and telemark ski, hike with her dogs (Tex and Joey), and run rivers with her husband Kyle -who is also the producer of The Maine Show.
